Frequently Asked Questions

  • Kinesiology is a gentle, holistic therapy that uses muscle testing to find and balance stress in the body—whether it’s physical, emotional, nutritional, or energetic. It’s like your body’s way of telling us what it needs to feel better and function more smoothly.

Using muscle testing as the guide, each session finds a specific focus with the aim to bring the client into alignment & balance by the end of the session. Kinesiology sessions are a collaborative, engaging process where the client is actively involved in the process.

  • While physios and chiropractors focus more on structure, movement, and manual techniques, kinesiology looks at the whole person—body, mind, and energy. We use muscle testing rather than machines or manipulations to tap into what’s going on at a deeper level.

  • Kinesiology doesn’t focus on treating ‘named’ diseases but can aid in understanding the metaphysical driver for the disease. It can also help support a wide range of issues, from physical pain and fatigue to digestive troubles, sleep problems and emotional stress.

It’s all about reducing the stress that's affecting your overall health.

  • Yes! That’s actually one of the most common reasons people come to see me. Kinesiology can help calm your nervous system, release built-up stress, and restore your energy, so you feel more grounded and resilient.

  • Most sessions last around 60 minutes, though your first visit is 90 minutes so we can dive a bit deeper into your health history and goals. Children under 16 years only have 45 minute sessions.

  • It depends on what you're coming in for, but many people start with a few sessions close together, then move into more occasional visits as things improve. We’ll always tailor the plan to suit you.

  • Just wear something comfortable that you can move easily in.

  • Some people feel shifts right away, like more energy, less tension, or a calmer mind. For others, the changes are more subtle and unfold over time. Everyone responds a little differently, and that’s okay.

  • At the conclusion of the session, muscle testing is used to indicate if the client requires a follow up session or if home reinforcement from their session. Home reinforcement could include an element of the balance, meditation, affirmation, supplements or even a conversation with someone. The body is so clever it knows what it needs!
